Exactly one year ago, we almost died cos we were
trained by our leaders at Ubin.
OKay maybe not almost die but around there la...
3 days ago Me, WH, Just, DK, Derrick, Kev, ZX, Mat, Worm
went to pulau ubin for our sec 3 survivor camp. HAHA!
Fahdli couldnt come cos he was in m'sia... sad

At first everyone was like 'uhh... uhhh... jialat la.. tekan liao... etc'
Cos its like setting foot on the commando mosquito infested island AGAIN.
But we didnt care so yeah.. Just went on ahead with the hike to
changi jetty and we got on the boat to ubin.

Anw this 'survivor' camp is like the ngee ann style of the TV show.
And its only running for the 2nd year so ya..
Meerkat started the camp and he's like the GameMaster of the whole thing.
So now we can see at the end of sec 2 is PLC hike,
end of sec 3 is Survivor Camp, end of sec 4 is Solo Night.
Its damn cool luh just thinking of it.
2 teams, Many challenges for our FOOD, Out in the friggin jungle
only given limited equipments, and we must stay there for 3 days and 2 nights.
Cool right?

Okay i'll briefly explain eveything.
team 1 was me, zhengxun, derrick, mathew and justin
team 2 was waihon, dongkun, worm and kevin
Like i said we were thrown in the jungle,
and given 2 hours to build our shelter for the night.
And so we collected materials and chiong-ed the shelter.
Btw each of us were only given
1 swiss knife each
1 arms length of conscord each
2 lashings each
1 box of matchstick per team
1 poncho and groundsheet each

1 gadget pole each

and 2 sets of clothes.
lol and nothing else.

After the shelter was up, we dug the firepit

and the next few days were many challenges with the rewards
labelled as 'stuff' and 'good stuff'
Roughly the challenges were such as

-Eat-the-disgusting-thing-on-the-plate-first-wins (team base)
Winner gets 5 packet of maggie mee and 5 egg (good stuff!)
Loser gets bread and banana (stuff!)
-Morning Tug-Of-War (team base)
Winner gets bread and hotdogs ( good stuff!)
Loser gets bread and bake beans (stuff!)
-Tree Climbing (Individual)
Winner gets Potato Chips and Green Tea can
loser gets nothing.
and many many many more... etc

Bt the funnest challenge was the last one.
the AUCTION... conducted by meerkat the GM
Basically everyone has 100 points and have to
bid in multiples of 5 points to get what they want in the opaque bag.
Its actually a test to see whthr we are willing to give in
or to actually get what you really want.
Because we cant see what we're bidding for, so we only get the description.
The whole thing was super funny cos of alot of reasons.
The best one was ZX and Worm.
Meerkat: 'This one ah.... can drink one, very big, water clear one, got gas'
then worm and zx start getting excited

Cos they tot is 1.5l of soft drinks.
so they started bidding like crazy,
until worm lost all his 100 points while trying to compete

with ZX to get that bag.
ZX lost all his points too and he got the bag of 'can drink one'
then meerkat showed us the contents.
Empty 100 plus and Empty green tea bottle, both 1.5, water very clear. LOL

Then everyone started laughing like crazy, including zx and worm

then they had to sit at the bankrupt area. LOL
Hahaha but overall the best bag goes to dongkun.
2 cans of pringles (haven open) and many many other stuff.
However in the end after the camp debrief at night,
all of us shared our winnings together and gay-ed, feast, talk cock
under the stars at Mamam Beach.

Certainly this camp was the most memorable one tgt with 9 of us.

Learned many things that cannot be taught behind that ngee ann gate
and did many stuff that cannot be done behind that ngee ann gates too.
Even the confidence walk at night became a 'no kik' to us now that

we've got through OPERATION BARBAR

hehehehe..

Yeah so now we're back with a new mission.
And that mission will be a very tough one so Fire Turtle must chiong hard.
This will most probably be my last post of 2008 so yeah.
I'll say it early.
